In this module on physical acoustics, you will learn how to describe sound waves physically and mathematically. In a rectangular room, I find it sounds better to have the studio oriented where the speakers are pointed in the direction of the wall farthest away, not to the short wall. Even though sound waves in water and sound waves in air are basically similar, the way that sound levels in water and sound levels in air are reported is very different, and comparing sound levels in water and air must be done carefully.

A suspension system in which air is the working fluid as well as the shock absorber is called air suspension system.
